Empowerment is the key to living a happy and fulfilling life and Regina Immigrant Women Centre believes in empowering women. According to Wikipedia, empowerment refers to increasing the spiritual, political, social or economic strength of individuals and communities.

Empowerment is the process which enables individuals and/or groups to fully access personal and/or collective power, authority and influence, and to employ that strength when engaging with other people, institutions or society. Therefore, empowerment encourages people to gain the skills and knowledge that will allow them to overcome obstacles in life or work environments and to ultimately develop within themselves and the society.

While the heart of Regina Immigrant Women Centre is the women we serve, we recognize that empowerment extends to everyone. Regina Immigrant Women Centre is committed to empowering Newcomer and Immigrant women and their families. We facilitate empowerment through the following programs:
