International Women’s Day on Sunday, March 12 @ Mackenzie Art Gallery

Regina Immigrant Women Centre, Multicultural Council of Saskatchewan, and Mackenzie Art Gallery partner together with Daughters of Africa, Sakewewak Artist Collective, Intercultural Grandmothers United, Amnesty International, Theatre Saskatchewan, and others for an afternoon of dance, dialogue, and art making.

Join us to celebrate International Women’s Day celebrations on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Mackenzie Art Gallery from 1 pm- 4 pm, according to the program outlined below.

International Women’s Day Regina: Celebrating the Strength and Resilience of Women

March 12, 2017: 1 – 4p.m.

Part 1) 1:00pm – 3:00 pm @ Mackenzie Art Gallery – Women Only

  • Tour of the exhibit, Across the Turtle’s Back: The Kampelmacher Memorial Collection of Indigenous Art with Michelle LaVallee
  • Braiding and weaving activity to represent all women and culture.
  • Water dance video

Part 2) 3:15pm – 4 pm @ Albert Street Bridge for Join Me On the Bridge celebrations – Everyone welcome
